2024 List of events
We will be open Monday to Friday 12-3 and 6-closing. On Tuesday the kitchen is closed all day & bar only will open at 6pm. Food served 12-2 Mon-SAT, 12-3 Sun & every evening 6-9. Weekend open all day for drinks.
We will continue to serve the takeaway menu Wednesday & Thursday 6-9pm. Please see menu listing on website for details of food served. (Please note there will be no takeaway available on monthly quiz nights.)
2024 Events:
Quiz nights – every 3rd Wednesday in the month at 8pm. £3 per team member to play & max 6 persons per team. £20 cash prize to winning team. All monies raised on the night will go to a charity chosen by the winning team. To keep up with guidelines it is essential to book a table for the quiz & food will be served. Next quiz night is April 17th at 8pm.
Easter weekend: the pub will be open all day over the bank holiday weekend. Fingers crossed for good weather to make the most of our large beer garden.
May Day: Monday 6th May Whitchurch Morris will dance outside the pub at 9am to welcome in May Day. Special breakfast offer -bacon sandwich & hot drink only £7 per person. Served 8.45-10am.
The pub will be open all day May Day & also on the bank holiday at the end of May – Monday 27th May.
Father’s Day: Sunday 16th June don’t forget good old Dad – treat him to a traditional roast lunch. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
Tuesday 26th June: Towersey Horseshoes will dance outside the pub at 8pm. Please come along & watch the traditional Morris dancing & even have a go!
Tuesday 9th July: Whitchurch Morris will dance outside the pub at 8pm. Come along for a fun packed night!
BBQ & live music from Tinlin: kick start the school holidays Sunday 28th July. From 5pm in the beer garden.
BBQ & live music from Fluke: celebrate the bank holiday weekend on Sunday 25th August from 5pm in the beer garden.

We are now selling a small selection of wines from a local run company Lloyds Wines where the highest quality wines are imported exclusively to the UK from the small producers of France, Italy & Spain for the discerning customer.
Local Grover’s Cider from Kimble now on sale at the Hampden Arms. £4 per bottle. (6% abv).
